depuis combien de temps cette activite existe-t-elle/  how long has this activity been in use:  Have yet to try it!

la durée de l'activité / duration of the activity:  45 mins - 1 hr

description de l'activité / description of the activity : Students will be given an item to (reasonably) hide somewhere in the school. However, they must describe the position (location) of this hidden item through the use of vector notation. For example, if their usual desk in Room 307 is the origin of a coordinate system, then they would need to give the location of the hidden object in terms of distances to walk north/south, east/west, and up/down. They will make use of a compass and a measuring tape in order to do so. Once they have hidden their item and given its position vector, they will return to class where they will exchange position vectors with another student. The will then attempt to find the other student's hidden object through the use of the other student's position vector.

l'objectif de l'activité / the goal of the activity :  1) To understand how to describe and interpret a position vector with respect to an established coordinate system. 2) To understand measurement as a general principle in the context of physics class.
